 Master Class

Join Monet Dance Performing Arts Studios as we host a master class in

Majorette Performance Style Dance Techinque.  

Hosted by Our Master Choreograper Genet Freeman, Mrs. Black Raleigh USA 2019

Ms. Genet, was born and raised in a small town North Carolina. Dance has always been a escape for her, and her love for the art of dance grew when she join the danceline at her local high school. This continued passion for dance technique and performance created an opportunity for her to continue practicing and performing at  North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. There she earned a Bacholor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in Dance.

 

While attending N.C. A&T,  she danced with the lovely ladies of Golden Delight(2006) and
the E.Gwynn Dancers of North Carolina A&T (2010-2013). While earning her  degree, she had the opportunity to study abroad at the Edna Manley College of Performing Arts in Kingston,Jamaica.

 

Ms. Genet is a former high coach and former Shaw University Dance Coordinator, who has over 10 years of teacher instructing with a solid history of achievement in facilitating a learning performing arts enviroment by establishing lesson plans  in line with curriculum objectives.

 Her overall love for dance and performing arts goes far beyond the stage, she believes in shaping the lives of her dancers through, discipline, dedication and sophistication. Her expertise is in productions that perform classical, modern, and acrobatic dances that express stories, rhythm, and sound with a performer's body.
